Social media for nonprofits on a tiny budget
Nonprofits have the best stories and the smallest budgets. Social media, done simply, is made for that combination.
Your advantage is story. Donors and volunteers connect with people helped, volunteers in action, and honest updates — not polished campaigns.
Plan around moments that already exist: events, milestones, volunteer days and thank-yous. Those are content, waiting to be captured on a phone.
Ask clearly. A post that says exactly what you need — volunteers on Saturday, or twenty shares to reach a new neighbourhood — outperforms a vague 'please support us'.
Report back. When people give time or money, show what it did. That follow-up post is what turns one-time supporters into regular ones.
