Writing captions people actually read
The first line earns the second line. Write for scanners, then reward readers.
The first line is the whole game on most feeds, where captions are cut off. Put the benefit, the question or the surprise first — not the backstory.
Write short lines and leave white space. A wall of text gets skipped; a caption that looks easy to read gets read.
End with one clear next step: a question to answer, a link to tap, or a friend to tag. Two calls to action usually mean none of them happen.
Read it aloud before publishing. If it sounds stiff spoken, it will read stiff on screen. Your voice is your advantage over generic accounts.
